Ai -- I like the flowers, did you add the ink on top of the WC? Jo -- those are neat, I'm going to try that! I've been growing peppers for many years and my favorites are from Peru. This is probably the most common red pepper there, so you probably had some :)

Joan -- love that direct watercolor! Nice sketches! The colors in the last one are great. I think when my daughter flies to JFK, she takes LIRR from Jamaica station to Penn Station to get to the Amtrak back to school. There was a time when much of the SF Bay Area had trains and trolleys and...

Jo -- I like #4 with the catcher and ump! I tossed out the little sketches I made last week, but I tried to get that same kind of batter+catcher+ump -- they were more like thumbnail sketches. It's hard! They don't stand still! I'm going next Sunday ( a week from today )!

Joan -- you outdid yourself on the blueberries on that fruit tart, with that "white powdery" surface that blueberries have. Wow. The giant flowers are really fun and Atlas is amazing! Ai -- that looks like a really fun event. I love the first one of the palace, and the last one has a great...

:) well, I drew.. I saw Joan's clock and stopped at this one on my way home from today's walk. When I got there, it wasn't as similar to Joan's clock as I thought. Usually before I draw I try to remind myself of a few things... I say to myself, "confident lines" and then I repeat "simplify" 5...

Joan -- those arboretum watercolors are great, love the blooms! Ai -- the KhaoChae is wonderful! I had chirashi for dinner last night and I think it had those same flowers on it, but I didn't eat them because I wasn't sure they were for eating! Jo -- yay! the water bottle looks especially...

Joan -- This all started about a year ago when I had the idea of trying to make a pinhole photo of the face of a honeybee or a bumblebee. I never found a dead one that was good enough to photograph, and I didn't want to kill one just for a photo. But when I find queen yellowjackets...

Fletch -- yep from "20 questions"! My pinhole photo from yesterday will probably seem very weird, but it was a challenge to make the photo with a cardboard box, a pinhole, and a piece of photo paper ( I made a really really tiny pinhole! ) Ned's WPPD photo Here's a more "normal" pinhole...

Ai - that fish dish looks great ( the dish and your art! ), I like the bright colors with the band. The quick sketch at the barber is good! Jo -- sketching with i-pad, nice "digi-sketch"! ha, yes my team won, and it was a very nice day to be there. It was a division II game at Sonoma State...

Joan -- those are great I like the color of that cart/wagon, and the dark between the slats makes it excellent. Robin -- like the sketch! The ballpoint was fine! Jo -- those shadows are a challenge! Good job. I have a Lamy that I've used for writing for around 40 years ( refillable...
