    What are you working on?

My latest project I'm working on is waiting for me to start. I've been moving so I haven't painted anything yet on this project because I'm too busy sorting and putting stuff away, but I've got my materials all ready and waiting for me to have the time. I've used Bee loose pages for several...

    What are you up to?

I'll get some photos of my beadwork to post one of these days. I had tons of them but in a computer "death" I lost a lot of them. I posted a photo in another area of the forums of the cougar my son caught on his game camera and I was very sad (but I do understand) when I saw this photo and...

    What are you up to?

What I'm up to now is a few things, actually. First of all, I just had my third transfusion---not a walk in the park exactly but I sure feel better than I did this time last week. I'm looking for a primary care physician which is kind of a hard chore here in my area right now, but they tell me...

What are your art goals for 2024?

I'm going to do lots of watercolor items and beadwork, my two passions. I'm moving to a bigger "abode" in a few days and it's going to be on a creek bank under trees, which will give me lots of new focus for my work. I live in a very small RV park in the midst of the Willameette National...

Want to share economical100% cotton paper source

Today I discovered an economical 100% cotton paper source on Amazon. These are 9x12 blocks of 20 sheets for $16.99 by Fuumuui. I'm a devoted user of their brushes labeled as sable, so I think probably the paper may be good, too. I've ordered some to try out and will report back once I do that...

    Consumer Beware!

Basically, it's price gouging and I think that's illegal in most places. If not, then in should be. It's bad enough that we're not getting the same for our money. I'm elderly, disabled and live on $700 a month that has to cover everything for living. I can't even take on a job to earn more money.

    Favorite youtube channels for art.

OMG there are so, so, so many! My ultimate over-all favorite is Javid Tabatabeaei (Not sure I spelled the last name right) but there are way too many to mention that I'm subscribed to.

    What are you up to?

I haven't been "up to" much in the past several months. In September (and, it turns out, through the summer) I had a series of TIA strokes. Finally had one in September that landed me in the hospital for a few days and that got me diagnosed with TIA's and a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Then...

    Playing around

I've never really understood abstract art even though I like some of it. I really enjoy this one you've done. Good going! :)

What art supplies have you bought recently?

I really love that tin you have your half pans in. I keep wanting to find one similar but just haven't been able to find one yet.

What art supplies have you bought recently?

I bought several of these and they're wonderful. They say they're for kids but they're absolutely fantastic for us adults, too. So economical! I prefer to use full pans of paints so they're perfect for me in that way, but they're also very simple, compact, sturdy, and the mixing area opens to...

    Does anyone use gansai?

I've found that I like to mix up paint in some little tiny bowls I bought on Amazonxckmcf0onmy788j'['ty. That way I get consistent amounts of color. I posted about those little bowls in a thread on "what supplies have you bought lately?" That way I have a little bowl of the paint that's...

What art supplies have you bought recently?

I bought these to use with my gansai paints https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MJ33D9F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this set of paints to use for adding some sparkle to Christmas cards: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09L67VNZM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 and...

    Last film you watched

I'm not much on movies as a rule but my youngest son put his entire movie collection onto a hard drive of some kind and he donated all the actual dvd's to me since our internet isn't real reliable up here in the woods. Counting the children's movies as well as the adult ones, I now have 500 and...

    Fairlight, East Sussex, UK

I decided to ask here if there's anyone here from Fairlight, East Sussex, UK or Battle UK but especially Fairlight. I had my DNA done awhile back. I never knew my father till I was 23 and he passed away when I was 25 but it turns out that his roots were so deep in the UK in Fairlight that they...

From the Smokey NW coast of America

Gosh, so much has happened. Last year (2022) I did pack up my art supplies and went to stay with a grand-daughter for several days because we got a mandatory order to evacuate due to forest fires coming so close. This year, though, we didn't have such dire conditions. Close but not quite and...

    Hi from Ukraine!

Welcome, albeit belatedly. :) Your art is wonderful! Keep up the good work. I'm very fond of the Ukrainian watercolors from Rosa Gallery and I've bought many sets of them, especially in support of the company because of the war there. Since they're such great paints, I don't figure I can...

    Sobriety

Welcome! Just keep hanging in there and putting the effort into it. It will work! I can tell you for sure that life sober beats the heck out of life drinking. I'm happy you're staying sober, :)
